Self-taught designer.  Around 1960, he started to work at ICAIC as a designer at the animation (cartoon) department and drew his first ICAIC poster for movie “Historia de la Revolución”. He is considered the most prolific Cuban designer of movie posters. His artwork has been exposed in Cuba and abroad and is part of permanent exhibitions. He was a member of UNEAC and received the Distinction for National Culture as well as the  “Raúl Gómez García” Medal.
