The maracas are typical musical instruments of the Caribbean, created by the people of the First Nations. They consist of güiras (fruit of the Güiro Amargo tree) filled with seeds on which is fixed a wood handle. You just have to shake them to create one of the most typical sonorities of the Cuban music. The diversity of the fruits used and the manual work make them all unique.
